This magnificent 400 year old flooded gum is located in Myall Lakes National Park. There is an excellent viewing platform and picnic area. Enter from the Old Pacific Highway (Wootton Way) north of Bulahdelah along Stoney Creek Road. Access also from Lakes Way.

The Grandis



Seal Rocks, Sugar Loaf Lighthouse & Blowhole

This unspoiled headland area offers swimming, excellent diving and a scenic walk to the lighthouse past the blowhole to a lookout over Lighthouse Beach and Sugarloaf Bay; an ideal spot to watch migrating whales. There are 2 camp areas, a caravan park and general store. A perfect place to spend the day, go for a swim, have a walk or drop in a line to fish. You may even decide to stay longer.

The historic Bulahdelah Court House



Alum Mountain Park, Bulahdelah

This forest park offers picnic facilities, a play area and historical information about Mount Alum, the largest deposit of Alunite (an industrial additive) in the Southern Hemisphere. Many years ago barges steamed up the Myall River to pick up the valuable resource to ship to Sydney then South Australia. No longer mined, the area now hosts much flora and fauna including some 16 species of orchid, koalas and glossy cockatoos. There are also walking tracks, which take you to the two lookouts.

Fishing

Heritage Trail

Myall to Barrington Tops, 11 day walk from Hawks Nest via Myall Lakes, Upper Myall to Barrington Tops. Stretches from the largest sub-alpine area anywhere north of Kosciusko, through mountainous rainforests and sub-tropical gullies, to the wetlands and dune-scapes of the Myall Lakes. The walk shows about 80% of Australia's biodiversity, with many historical and aboriginal features along the way. The track is 220kms long. Do 1,3,5 day sections or the full 11 days.
